Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work correctly and help owners understand how visitors use the site. This page explains exactly which cookies ToolNest uses — the list is short on purpose.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (security). Our site is served through Cloudflare, which may set security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to protect the site from bots and abuse. These are essential for the site to work safely and cannot be disabled.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — for example, which tools are popular and which devices visitors use. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<property>, kept for up to 2 years. The analytics script only loads after the page has rendered, so it never slows down your visit. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.
Our tools themselves set no cookies and use no browser storage. Everything you type into a tool is processed in your browser's memory and disappears when you leave or refresh the page.
Advertising
We do not currently show ads and set no advertising cookies. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy before any advertising cookies are set.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all offer this under Privacy/Security settings). Blocking the security cookies may cause the site to treat you as a bot; blocking analytics cookies has no effect on the tools. You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's opt-out add-on.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves; the date above reflects the latest version. Questions? Reach us via the contact page.
